Indoors: Our living room/bar has a wood floor and, cleared of furniture, accommodates a combo or deejay and dancing in fine style.
Outdoors: Tent company provides a sturdy wood dance floor that fits comfortably under the tent along with seated dining.
Menu Decisions
Sample menus are available and we can produce themed menus that range from informal cookouts to fine dining. We will be happy to meet with you to personalize your menu. Favorite dishes and old family recipes are welcome.
Beverage Decisions
Wine: You may choose from our in-house wine selection or special requests can be accommodated.
Beer: Draft and bottled beer is available including local microbrews or we can supply your favorite beer.
Mixed Drinks: Full range of cocktails.
Family Affairs
We welcome families and pets. If families will be attending an overnight function at our inn, ask for our Babysitter's List of child care resources familiar with our inn.

In front of the Inn's stone wall footed by a glorious perennial garden, or at the rim of our large private swimming lake surrounded by green grass and azure skies.
Year-round:
South Woodstock chapel, a pristine white country church, is within walking distance. It's non-denominational and seats up to 200. For reservations, call Marguerite Johnson, (802) 457-2041.
Catholic, Jewish, Baptist and Universalist churches are located minutes away in Woodstock.

Helpful Tips
- Arrange for transport to and from the church or Guest-of-Honor's house in a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh (Kedron Valley Stables, 802-457-1480)
- Use customized baskets of Vermont-made edibles as party or pillow favors for your guests (Gillingham's, (802) 457-2100 or Taftsville Country Store (800) 854-0013).
- In spring, summer and fall, use the Inn's large front porch (13.5' deep x 65' long) for a second bar/bartender and hors d'oeuvres so guests can enjoy our rural setting and blooming front gardens.
- Ask your photographer to take a shot of all your guests together on the front lawn. You can see all their faces if he shoots from the deck of Room #22 which overlooks the lawn. (Note, you will need to reserve the guest room for this purpose.)
- Arrive a day early. Then, you can enjoy our relaxing environment in peace and privacy before the festivities begin.
